This has gone so much further than I intended. Honestly, I just thought it was funny (i.e. the Somebody's Lazy subtitle). And if you really think this is so pointless, then why bother wasting your time posting?

I couldn't have said that any better myself!

Too let that person know that it IS pointless. 😀

check out this set of pics from newegg. thefirst one has an image on the monitor and is slighty blurry. The rest of the pictures are much more crisp and apear to be taken by a different camera. I'd say if anything neweeg took the last pics thmeselves and got the first one from the manufacturer.

I didn't know where to post this. Since I was looking at monitors at Zipzoomfly, I thought it would be appropriate if I posted in the video forum. Anyway, is it just me, or has Zipzoomfly been using some of Newegg's product photos? Today I noticed Zipzoomfly finally started selling Sony LCD's, and if you look at the Sony SDM-S74's, 94's, and the SDM-S204B, they're the exact same product photos as Newegg, just scaled down a bit. I've been looking at these monitors' prices fall at Newegg for some time now, so I've gotten use to the pics. I thought that's kind of lame on Zipzoomfly's part.

Yes, I agreed & I saw it many times Zipzoomfly using Newegg pics.... Lazy ZZF....

ZZF is better than newegg lately anyways. Who cares if they use the pictures. Its smarter to do so. Takes less time, saving from having to pay someone to do it.

Better my....

You guys won't believe this, but I just saw a guy in a ZZF shirt haul *ss out of the New Egg parking lot in a pickup truck. The back of the truck was FILLED TO THE BRIM with pixels. One pixel flew out and hit me in the eye. I now have a stuck pixel in my left eye.

HHAHAHAHAHH this is a good one...

This is pretty absurd. mdahc's claims at the beginning of the thread seem accurate - newegg is one of the best sites for posting pictures of their products (I'm in Canada so I can't even buy from them but I still refer to their site occasionally because they have by far the best and the most pictures of any site).

If another site is/isn't 'borrowing' their pictures, it's not the end of the world, although it's not exactly the best thing for a company to do, and it's interesting to know nonetheless.

What irks me is that when a low poster/nonregular makes a claim that isn't that far out there and he backs it up with reasonable proof, a fistful of AT'ers immediately go for his jugular and run the gamut of questions to make him look bad. First they start with the 'prove it to me' attitude and then when given proof (or at least corroborated by a regular poster) they immediately change their tune to 'who cares' .

Now personally, this issue isn't going to make me loser sleep at night (indeed I'm sure the OP isn't that passionate about it either), but it's an interesting thought to glance over. I really don't think we need 20+ posts of spam telling the guy he's an idiot or that you don't care - if you don't care then don't f*cking post anything, at least not more spam so we have to sift through all that crap.
