Zip drive question

Which Zip drives REQUIRE the use of the power supply? Iomega's website makes no mention of this.

Do you mean 'which zip drives require their own power supply?',
If that is the question, then definitely the parallel ones do, and i would think the usb ones would as well, but that is only a guess.

on the usb it could depend - usb likes to power devices, unless if its a power hog.

From what I can figure out there's two versions of the 250MB Zip. One that requires and it and one that doesn't. I foung a used one that requires it. For the price, I guess I can live with it.

My USBzip drive stinks, but it only requires the USB cable to run. 😀

If you check the last column, it'll tell you if it includes a power adapter (if it lists it, it uses external power).
