zip disk formats

I know the zip disks work on pc or mac but is there a differecce in formats. I have a friend who wants to make the switch but wants to know if zip disks made in a PC will work in a MAC. I think they are in FAT so would MAC have trouble with that? Also any other info about making the switch would help. when it comes to MAC I am in foreign territory. Thank you all!!
 
Hi, Zips can be reformatted Mac to PC or PC to Mac. If you want to save the data just copy it to your HD, reformat the disk and copy it back. This works on 100's. I have never tried it on larger. Hope this helps Jim
