Zika virus causing deformaties is a hoax?

(NaturalNews) Despite all the public hoopla, all the cases of microcephaly being discovered in Brazil have never been scientifically linked to the Zika virus. A group of doctors from South America are now saying the brain deformations the world is witnessing are caused by the mass fumigation of low-income Brazilian people with a chemical larvicide, not by mosquitoes carrying the Zika virus.

What we're seeing with the brain deformations of children, in other words, is more like the history of thalidomide, a prescription medicine given to pregnant women that caused children to be born with limbs missing. But the official narrative on all this is pushing a false link with Zika in order to justify more chemical fumigation, more vaccines and more genetically engineered mosquitoes.

Ok, so first, it's naturalnews.com, so you have to take everything with a boulder of salt, they are generally loons (anti-gmo, conspiracy nuts, wifi causes cancer etc etc etc). Pretty much wackos.

Last I read they've actually been able to confirm the presence of the zika virus in the brains of several affected babies / fetuses (which shows that the virus crosses the blood-brain barrier), and been able to show the specific correlation between the spread of the disease with occurrences of microcephaly and other brain defects. They've also confirmed a huge spike in the occurrences roughly 6 months after the spike in zika infections, which would indicate that the zika infections of pregnant women was having an impact.

It will probably take a while (research / study) to fully understand the mechanisms in play and how exactly the virus operates, but at this point there is very strong evidence linking zika and the brain issues. Scientists think the fast developing brain of the fetus in the first and second trimester is particularly susceptible to the attack pattern of this virus, but they don't know all the hows and whys yet.

I'm sure someone can post more up to date or more detailed info.

I have yet to see anything that stated there was a conclusive link between zika and microcephaly. All of the news articles I have seen only link them due to timing so OP must be off his meds again.

They will never be able to assure a clear conclusive link between zika and micrcephaly due to the massive ethical constraints that are placed on human testing. The current link is as strong as it will ever be.

It is entirely unethical to intentionally infect a pregnant woman with Zika just to see if microcephaly occurs. This is the ONLY way to know FOR SURE that zika is causing it. The existing statistical links are valid, but only as statistical links.

A brief case report that came out two days ago in the New England Journal of Medicine. Zika Virus identified in the brain tissue of an electively terminated fetus, who had microcephaly and calcifications.

The epidemiological link was debatable (granted the sheer volume of cases with microcephaly was impressive), but now there's evidence of actual virus that is detectable in the brain.

.... along with absence of any other known pathogen that could cause identified symptoms.

As more and more of these cases happen and scientists have a chance to do more research and set up controlled studies (one group of pregnant women that have been exposed to the virus, compared to another control group from the same region that has not etc), I think it's very likely a definitive causality link will be established, but in the meantime there is enough information already available to indicate a strong likelihood of causality.

In the limited defense of the OP however, I'd say there's no reason not to further investigate this fumigation chemical. I don't know how rigorous safety testing of such things are in Brazil and it's not impossible that this could be the actual proximate cause of these microcephaly cases. It's likely to be a dead end, but no reason to dismiss it out of hand even if a nutcase website raised the possibility; even a blind squirrel finds a nut and all that.

Well, any chemical applied on such a scale should always be investigated, but based on the information they have already, I don't think it makes sense to delve any further into that angle, at least not as it relates to the brain defect / microcephaly issues. There is currently no credible information that in any way links the fumigation chemical with the reported increase in microcephaly and other issues. Just because some group of nuts thinks it's the source of the problem (or maybe it's chemtrails! yes, that's it!) doesn't mean there's credible evidence for it.

Natural news is not a reliable source of information. If they are right about this then, much like other things they are in fact right about, it's by accident, driven by preconceived ideology, and not any objective determination.

Sure, you can investigate. Human intervention (pesticides etc) could have exacerbated the issue, but all fingers are pointing to the Zika virus. It could be something like the hive destruction of bees. That is, systemic use of certain chemicals and growing patterns. In other words, we could have made it easier for that species of mosquito much more capable of spreading.

Can we fight it with Ebola?
Ebola was ZOMG and then went away.... just.... went away.
Now all of a sudden Zika is EVERYWHERE! I wonder what they're trying to cover up.

A lot of the problem with Ebola was a result of death practices that locals didn't want to stop doing

From what I've read, the link is empirically based and they do not understand the mechanism. For that reason there could be another cause which is associated with the conditions in which Zika could also be identified.

Simple test. Has Zika and birth defects been linked in any country outside Brazil?

A boulder of salt still isn't enough.

Obesity, sickness and disease is rampant in this culture we live in today. Our bodies and cellular system are constantly under attack from a barrage of chemicals from the water we drink, the food we eat, the medical and dental industry, nuclear waste, etc.
Nuclear waste?
"Wait, you mean the local Twee Mile Funland Daycare Center will literally have my kids glowing with, among other things, excitement?"

Serious neurological damaging toxins Mercury, Lead, Cadmium and others are extremely hard for the body to handle, especially mercury.
Breathing deep and meditation is one way of cleansing the blood and other organs in the body.
Because heavy metals...respond to....wat.

Fasting is also as old as man, and a technique that I personally used to lose over 55 lbs of unwanted body mass and chemicals.
55lbs of body mass and chemicals? So if I go without lunch, does that mean I can still have my morning bowl of Frosted Cadmi-O's?

Coffee enemas are my favorite though and the history is really clear on them.
....Uh.
Huh.
I'm sad to say that I even read that entire paragraph.

Elsewhere.....vaccines cause autism and widespread death, the UN is planning to enslave the world, World War III is coming soon, EMI causes brain cancer (but first, watch a video on this page!) articles for doomsday preppers, the federal government is involved in a conspiracy to allow bioterrorists to Ebola us to death, and Bill Gates is trying to sterilize the poor.

Goddamn nutjobs.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd the Earth is actually flat, you fool!

You fool!!

Roswell!!!1

Same with wild animals. Watch cranes over the beach sometimes or read about it online….they will swoop down, take in a bunch of water, then turn their big necks and beaks around and shoot water up their butt!

Wow, I know what I'm fapping to tonight. :awe:

That is what they are following up on now.

I believe the title of this thread is exaggerated. A hoax implies malice forethought. This may simply be a case of incorrect attribution.
