You miss the point, troll. The picture is, in fact, funny; no one is disputing that. It's the choice of words for the title. "Bush assumes Hitler-Salute Picture" would be perfectly acceptable. It's not a matter of being "a die hard conservative" vs. "a die hard liberal." You just don't get it.

The rise of Hitler was considered synonymous with the rise of German society. While his genocide deserves the perpetual disdain of all decent human beings, one cannot ignore that he revitalized Germany (typically under the guise of nationalism/patriotism) . . . sound familiar? Bush is certainly not Hitler. He lacks Hitler's leadership skills and general disrespect for human life (sorta . . . any person that makes light of executions clearly has issues). But like Hitler, Bush does endorse uncritical analysis and unwavering loyalty to leadership. Like Hitler, Bush can lay blame for all of America's problems . . . to anyone and everyone except Americans. And like Hitler, Bush believes in the supremacy of one group over all others (Americans and then everybody else). My brother is the German speaker in the family so I don't remember the saying but it was like one people, one world, one ruler . . .

For the ignorant . . . admittedly I didn't know the history of the swastika until a 2000 trip to Asia.

You know, contrary to popular opinion, Jews werent the only ones massacred in WWII. Koreans and Chinese suffered over five times the civilian casualties as the Jews did in WWII, and you dont hear us balking everytime some guy speaks Japanese (bonzai?).
