once you're married, no sex for you. 🙂

....no sex. no money. no freedom. happiness erodes......then divorce.....then alimony payments for life......then death.

Kids hate you. Ex-wife(s) hates you. Friends unfriend you b/c they're diddling your ex-wife.

OP,
Pics of face or PERMA-BAN! :colbert:

Congrats. Ring looks very similar to the one I got my wife. Style seems to be popular now.

Yeah halo seems to be the current trend. Most also come with studs on the band like this:

But my fiance wanted a clean band. This is the exact band ordered from BN:

I hope your engagement doesn't cut into your posting. Priorities, man, priorities!

(Grats!) 😀

how much was the ring?

Since you guys are strangers...

1.43 carat @ 7.3mm diameter (comparable top-down size of 1.5~ carats).
Si1, eye clean (amazingly minimal blemishes on the GIA chart, I don't know how this only got Si1).
I color
Excellent cut
Excellent polish
Excellent symmetry

$8800~. Setting (the band) is 14k white gold with halo at $700~

Total is $9500. No tax collected. After Discover card cashback, I paid about $8900. Not bad at all.

I color is more noticeable than I thought. The stone has a slight champagne tint if you look closely.

So my budget focused on maximum brilliance (cut) & carat (what girls like), while sacrificing color and clarity. Clarity is ZERO prob as it's eye-clean and it's graded very well for Si1.

It's true that if you spend for higher than Si1 (vs2, vs1, vvs2, vvs1, fl, & if), you're wasting money. But if I had more budget, I would've gotten G or H color. D (highest), E, F are waste of money too, as most jewelers can't even tell.
