Man, School security is a joke. Any 9th grader who has decent computing skils can get into a school network. I did.

But serisouly, this guy is retarded. I bet if he sepnt the time it took to learn how to infiltrate the schol comp would have been better spent studying so he wouldn't have to hack it in the first place. I try no to use the work "hacK' because its not really hacking, in my opinion.

He could have hurt lots of others. If he hadn't been caught, he and the others whose grades he altered could have bumped other honest students from getting into the school of their choice.

The report lists all the charges filed against him and notes the maximum sentence if he's convicted on every charge and sentenced to serve each penalty in series, instead of concurrently, which is proper journalism.

He probably won't get the maximum sentence, but I think it's right to give him an appreciation of how bad it could get and to instill a little fear in others who might otherwise consider doing it.
