Since he trashes most every game he reviews the ones he actually likes make me curious. From the sounds of it I'll probably be giving this one a rent :).

I've been saying it since I first booted it up.. Saints Row 2 is far superior to GTA IV.

If you're going to be realistic, do full on realism. One bullet kills, you don't want to get in trouble with the cops, etc. That level of realism could be fun - but when you just go halfway there like GTA IV did you don't get the cool factor of total realism and you don't get to do the crazy stuff you got to do in Crackdown/SR2.

yep, exactly.

I liked "The Getaway" on the ps2 years ago because it was almost full realism. You run a red light meant cops. GTA has to pick a side and stick to it, I am having 10x more fun with SR2 than with GTA

Great review, great game. I am almost done with this game and I see myself playing it again, meanwhile I am only 30% through GTAIV.

This will be my next game.

"Its like wrestling with an exciteable dog in a paddling pool full of disembodied breast. Don't think too hard about that simile, I certainly didn't." Hahahahaha.

I have shelved GTA4 and have been playing SR2 nonstop. Im only 30% done and dont do too many missions, I am just having a blast with the mini games and just playing in the sandbox. My respect meter is like 40% just by doing random killings and stuff. Man, I havent had this much fun since GTA:San Andreas!

Tell me about it. I think I've only done about 2%. That was about 4 months ago. LOL

Wow, did anybody else feel he just took this opportunity to make "bitch about GTA: the sequel"?

Your point? The two are fairly similar, no?

No, one is fun and the other, not.

Who didn't see this coming? I bought the first Saint's Row after being disappointed with GTA IV and had more fun with SR even though the graphics were a bit dated. I'll pick SR2 up at some point, but I'm a bit sandboxed out for the moment.

My point is I wanted a review of SR2. If I wanted to hear more shit about GTA4 I would have watched THAT review again.
