Intense. No obvious Obama connection. This is not an Obama takes all the credit film.
This shows the interaction between many US operations that finally lead to one fairly reliable source. And the heavy costs. If anything, and if to be believed, Obama was not involved until those sitting around the decision table were 60%+ sure of the accuracy of their information.
Then and only then was Obama fully engaged.
Some of the film is obviously accurate because it is well known historical fact.
Other parts of the film I question the accuracy of.
I guess we have to take the film makers word for it?
The US government would never verify such event details, clearly falling under national security. And they shouldn't. Some things we do not need to know.
The bottom line, the end justifies the means, as they say.

But never the less, ANY president occupying that high office would obviously and naturally have "earned" a second term simply due to the fact this happened under his/her watch.
You'd would have thunked that Faux News, Karl Rove, and 99% of other conservatives would have easily figured that one out.
I guess living in the bubble does have its downside after all.
And why their fugal failed attempts to discredit Obama on the Bin Laden kill.

Good movie.

I saw Zero Dark Thirty a couple weeks ago. Excellent movie. Doesn't seem like 2 hours and 37 minutes.

Great movie. Made $24 million this weekend. Too bad the director got shafted on the Oscar nomination.

I really enjoyed it. I wasnt expecting them to put things like the Camp Chapman attack, or the Marriot hotel bombing in the movie I thought that was cool. From the time the SEALs enter the Blackhawks the movie plays out nearly exactly like the book "No Easy Day," even some of the same conversations.

I hated The Hurt Locker so I decided not to see this movie. If I read some good in depth reviews on it I might change my mind.

I thought the movie was very well done. Not entirely what I was expecting when I went to go see it. Knew it'd be story driven, but even so some parts just took shape extremely fast and the dialog was hard to register what they were doing instantly.

Overall very good movie though.

I feel she was shafted at the Golden Globes as well. Argo was a good film, but ZDT was the better film in all respects.

Did not like the movie. I thought it made the USA and presiden Obama look very bad. What law tomorrow will Presiden Obama decided we don't need to follow? Torturing more prisoners? Killing more people without a trial? A president/country which violates its own laws once, will always do it again. We cannot be trusted now. If the people of the US do nothing it shows they agree with the actions of the president. I have no first hand knowledge that Bin Laden did anything, only hear-say. That is why you need a hearing.

Zero Dark Thirty is a fictional movie based on events of the true story. It's not the same as watching a movie based entirely on the actual event.
