It depends. The brand new Zenith plasmas are absolutely awesome, especially for the money. That's only this current, brand spanking new generation though. LG's newest panels, which go in the new Zenith, is rated at 5000:1 contrast, and 1000 cd/m2 brightness. It's only in the 42" Zenith now, but they have a 50" and 60" already under the LG name, and should be selling them with the Zenith nameplate soon. This changes everything, as Zenith has historically been horrid.

We actually just bought one of these at work...its definitely nice, but I still wouldn't want one in my home or want to use it as a monitor. Screen is a bit more reflective than I would prefer.

I think it did 1280 x 720p max. IMHO, I don't need icons the size of my hand.
