zen not working

OK My zen has been acting up and it does not allow me to add music to it or charge it up. Some people have said to install firmware but i can't because if i try it says "device not found could not install" so im kinda stuck here. If someone could please explain on what i should do on the matter i would love them forever 🙂

You can get into the diagnostics menu by pulling the battery out, holding the power switch on, then putting the battery back in. From there you can reboot the player, load firmware or format the machine which might help. I own a zen micro and they seem to sometimes play up like this.
