Link to the Past will always be the best Zelda game. still hate that i sold my SNES and all my games for a song back when i was young and dumb. 🙁

This game, dear lord...

I was lost in the caves for what seemed like months looking for the friggin' hammer to remove the boulders in the overworld. I eventually made it to the final palace, but never beat it.

When I got that far I think I called a friend of mine to celebrate my victory/brag. I was 10, and it was the 90's, and phone communication was a big deal for me.

Yeah, getting to that palace = shit getting real.

I loved Zelda 2. Never beat it, I just don't have the patience. I do have the original Nintendo strategy guide for it. Also for Zelda 3, thinkn bout playin that one again sometime.
I don't think I beat any of the Zelda's.

Replaying Twilight Princess on GameCube right now. Previously played on Wii.

GameCube version is superior. To hell with gimmicky waggle controls.

+1

Twilight princess is, to date, my favorite 3d zelda game. I'm a scker for something a bit more mature/dark, and I think TP is the closest the series will get to that.

So.. did you beat it yet?

After you make it through the correct path in the temple, you get to a floor that has blocks on it. Stab downward to destroy the blocks and fall through the floor. When you get to the shadow guy, enable fire and I stand on the far right of the screen with my shadow just offscreen to the right of me and repeatedly crouch and stab right. It will hit him when he comes up close to you and while you will take some damage, you will defeat him.

I think before him is Thunderbird, but meh, he's not bad.

He did. I was there to witness it.

Yep.

I took zero damage and did it from the left side facing right. 😎
