this game is better than anything the xbox one and ps4 have to offer right now, by far. it's even better than super Mario 3d world...no comparison there either. GOTY for me.]

ps4 and xbox one really battle themselves for tech demos while Nintendo quietly makes kick butt games in the background.

Yes I'm really enjoying this game. Brings back great memories...sadly though, even after all these years, the 3DS catalog is lacking... I looked through and there just isn't much else I want that is strictly 3DS. Not a fan of the Etrian series, and well...to me most of the SMT games that are out for it pale compared to Nocturne (and are pretty repetitive Pokemon style that I'm not as interested in.

Same, I find more interesting titles for the DS. Outside of that I like the 50 games in 1 pack cause it has Chess, Zen Pinball is very nice and I like Pilotwings and kinda want Starfox 64 but not for that price. Wouldn't mind some more relaxing games but they need some RPG's and a 2d Metroid.
Shame their digital catalog of titles is so lacking, especially for virtual console.

God we need this so bad.

Relatively, yes. I have had to use fairies on some bosses and I have died several times. Not sure how far you are? I think on a 2nd play through if I concentrated, I could probably beat it without dying. Initially in lo-rule or up near the tower, the enemies can kick your tail quick.

Are there any other DS RPG's that are similar to Zelda, mostly meaning no turn based battles?. Since I lost my Zelda saves I just don't have the tolerance to do all that over again plus the music gets stuck in my head something terrible.

Beat this over the weekend. Great game. Got a little long toothed in the end because in some spots, if you missed something, you could take 30mins + to find that spot again as the dungeons became larger.

But overall it was one of my favorite Zelda games. Top 3 I'd say. I put in over 20hrs which is somewhat surprising for me since I don't even do that on PC games sometimes that I like.

For those saying no library, I just don't think Nintendo is your thing. I bought 4 games so far including Zelda, all Nintendo IP and all of them pretty good. Now there are more I want, but of course they are of the same Nintendo eco system.

I think Mario Kart 7 is really good... a well done MK game. If you liked them in the past, you should like that one. My only complaint is the controls... its hard on my hands when the controller is so small.

No, it is lacking. The GB / DS has many great games. Sure you can play DS on it..but don't need a 3DS for that.

I could break it down, but it would be pointless. Short response is - never been an issue with any of the other Nintendo handhelds/consoles, is a problem with the 3DS. And quit listing a game that isn't even out and you have no idea if it's worth it and games that are direct ports of 2 generation old games that most of us probably already played/beat. Those are not system sellers. This is a point because all those games also existed before and I didn't like/play them then either and still played a crap ton of games that I did enjoy. So not sure why everyone is trying to argue with me. It's not that I don't like any games, it's that many of the games out are ones I don't want to play lol.

The DS/GBA just had much better catalogs by this time in their life (and still do really). There are 2 or 3 appealing games in that list. And many others I've no interest in (never bothered me before? Guess probably because I had more to choose from..hmm, I know..weird why would I say there is nothing) The rest are standard fare. And really..who of you actually still/ever plays Pokemon? Or the 100 Lego games....

Who did that?

games that are direct ports of 2 generation old games that most of us probably already played/beat.

Where are you seeing this?

Those are not system sellers.

The 3DS has plenty of system seller, shown by the plentiful sales.

What the hell DID you play on the DS?

The DS/GBA just had much better catalogs by this time in their life (and still do really).

Objective

Many of those games are bestsellers and critically acclaimed. Just because they don't fit your narrow personal taste isn't any reason to claim the 3DS has a lackluster library.

And really..who of you actually still/ever plays Pokemon? Or the 100 Lego games....

I do, as do millions of other people. Many of which are adults.

Since you want to chime in, try reading. Considering I showed my reasons earlier in the thread, and the other items I am referring to are clearly listed above.

BTW Easily butt hurt section of the forums: Sometimes, there are people out there who enjoy the same things as you, other times they may not. Those people might say something negative about something you love dearly. This is called life. Deal with it.

Now before everyone decided to take a statement of opinion and derail the thread. I am still thoroughly enjoying the new Zelda. 😛

Of the list I added to, only Bravely Default is technically not "out" in the US but its been out in Japan long enough and is apparently goof enough to justify a remaster.

The rest are all new games in a series. Pokemon X is not just a 3D Pokemon White. Zelda LBW is NOT Link to the Past, etc

SMH...*cough* Tale of the Abyss, DKCR...(and let me clarify since apparently people are a being a bit dense. TATA is a direct port of a PS2 game, DKCR is basically a port of the Wii game with a few extras tacked on BOTH OF WHICH I'VE PLAYED).

and yes, many of those series I don't like (as I stated in the original post). Not sure why all this is hard to comprehend. FFS.

Which of these games are ports of games 2 generations old? I removed DKCR and Tales, but the list still stands strong without it.

Lol, nobody is butthurt here. We are all enjoying the 3DS library.

This is called life. Deal with it.

No, this is the internet. Argue with it.

Now before everyone decided to take a statement of opinion and derail the thread. I am still thoroughly enjoying the new Zelda. 😛

You are the one who derailed the thread with an irrelevant statement of opinion. What did you think would happen, if not discussion? 😕

You keep stating what you don't like, but what do you like?

We're just having a discussion. No reason to get upset or defensive.

It's the internet, everyone one comes off butthurt when they are constantly responding to something that they should have no issue with....anyway.

Bravely Default is not out in the US and then the other 2 that I already explained. Assuming BD gets decent reviews I probably WILL pick that up, but it's too early to tell.

For the most part I like RPGS and platformers, but as with everyone it doesn't mean I like them all or excluded to just that...

Do not like the Etrian Series
SMT Series - eh...I USED to like them, but really not a fan of them on the portables, I really didn't care for any of the DS versions. Now..if they bring out a Persona, probably.
Do not like Pokemon Series
Do like the Ace series (albeit somewhat over them so not sure I care about this one)
Do like Zelda (obviously)
Do like Mario platformer/RPG series - Have Dream Team on the way
Do not like MarioKart/Party series
Do not like Rune Factory series
Do not like the Lego games
And believe it or not...cannot stand Kingdom Hearts. Don't ask me why, but the whole thing rubs me the wrong way.

I shopped..I really did. Honestly...the only games out I was remotely interested in were Mario Land, NSMB2, Dream Team games and the Zelda. I knew the 3DS had a somewhat "eh" library (IMO) which is why I held off getting one. I STILL play my DS (heck I bought Radiant Historia for it a few months ago and been playing that). My statement was in reference to me saying earlier I will probably just sell the 3DS when I'm done with Zelda...and it is true. There just isn't crap I really want to drop money on for it that actually needs it.
