I forgot how ridiculously good an simple this series was. Watched some and reminded myself that I need to get the whole series.

I watched the first half-dozen on VHS years ago, good stuff.

The Wolf with Cub series was good too, much better than the bits-mashed-together Shogun Assassin "movie" version.

I assume you've seen Yojimbo and Sanjuro?

Chusingura was good if you don't mind the slower pace. It's the revenge story of the masterless samurai mentioned in De Niro's Ronin.

I found a nice torrent awhile ago for the 16 (I think, I can't remember the exact number, but it should've been all of them) or so Zatoichi movies. I haven't watched any yet though .
