I guess the good thing is that you can try out the shoe you buy ... if it does't fit, you can ship it back to them for free... the thing is... i wonder if you can get refund for the shipping you pay...???

It would be like finding a deal on an Acura and posting a thread and someone coming along and mentioning how much cheaper a Hyundai is. You are not compairing apples to apples here, different classes of product.

They pay for shipping... both ways. Free shipping to your house, free shipping from your house with the "pre-paid UPS label"
I wear out soles on business shoes pretty fast (I do a lot of walking in them). It is $30+ to get shoes resoled properly. So, I can pay under $14 per pair from Payless (after coupons, etc) and simply throw them away when the soles wear out after 6 months --- or I can spend $100+ for Johnston & Murphys and pay $30 to resole them every 6 months. The TCO (total cost of ownership) is much lower by going with the Payless shoes in my case.Originally posted by: metapy

What he said... Payless is what it is--a step above disposable shoes. Not meant as a slam, but it's obvious that the Payless shoes are 2-3 grades lower in terms of construction and durability.
