Zalman PSUs how quiet are they?

I just ordered a couple of Zalman PSUs from Newegg, going to build one system & replase the PSU in another.

Never heard one run, are they that much quieter than a generic PSU?

very satisfied with my zalman 400w psu.
I was using a fortron source single fan unit and an enermax before , this one is much quieter

What they don't tell you is that the Zalman PSU's are really Fortron/Sparkle PSU's with a different internal fan. So I got a $25 300W Sparkle and popped in an 80mm 12V Panaflo LIA and it's very close in noise level with the Zalmans. They are very quiet though.

Ugh, don't mention Forton single fan PSUs. I have nothing against the brand name at all but the model I had would rev up to absurd levels when it thought it was getting too hot which was all the freaking time! I've been considering their Aurora model, though. 120mm fan with blue LEDs.

I haven't used a Zalman, but I can say that after I put a Panaflo L1A in my Enhance, it was very nice and quiet. Also, my $33 Allied 400W is as quiet as the Enhance, though it has dual fans (I didn't have to mod the PSU 🙂)
