Wow, Zalman's getting agressive with these things. The LQ-315 was $45 a couple days ago, and through midnight today the LQ-310 is $30 (all after rebate).
That's common with these AIO coolers when compared to air coolers of similar cost. They do have benefits, however. Think of them as just like a big tower cooler, except you can move the "tower" part up to a foot away from the CPU socket. In some circumstances you can take advantage of better airflow. In others you can fit a larger cooler than your case will normally allow. And don't forget that $6 will get you a bracket allowing you to liquid cool your graphics card when using one of the Asetek based units.
