I am thinking about getting a Zalman CNPS600Cu HSF. I was also thinking of getting a 120mm fan to use instead of the 92mm fan. I couldn't find any threads about if anyone has done this and what results they got. Would I be better off with a 120mm fan or is the 92mm going to do just as well. I am trying to go for quiet in this system, but also I wanted to try out the Zalman I am getting (getting a good deal from a friend) If anyone knows or has a suggestion as to which would be better (120mm vs 92mm) please let me know. I assume the 120mm would be a quieter solution, as I can run it slower but stiff get good movement, and over a larger area (meaning I might be able to remove the current northbridge fan on my motherboard). Any insight would be appreciated.

Bump, cause I have the Zalman and am curious if anyone has had better performance with a larger fan. Since I just ordered a new 92mm LED fan, I probably wouldn't switch but it would be nice to hear someones results from moving up a size.

On a side note, with my current system, I took my NB HS off and just let the air from the cpu fan cool it. Works fin for me, might depend on how hard you are ocing the board though...

Do you mean the Zalman Copper Flower?

If you do then i have one with a 120mm fan on, it performs just as well if not better than the zalman fan and it is quiter, if you posistioned right then you could cool your Nothbridge with it as well......but remember not to have the dead spot on the 120 near your CPU or Northbridge!

Hope i helped

EDIT: Spelt Zalman wrong (Zalmon)

Thanks. That's what I figured, target the center area of the fan in the spot between the NB and CPU and it should cool both. Thanks again.
