ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice post yes zalman needs new design that works better! with that said i own and use tons of zalman hsf's..


the one thing they do accomplish every time is a pretty heatsink.. i have a window on the side of every pc i own even the htpc tiny cases (which have zalman flower hsfs (only decent heatsink i could find that would fit under the antec aria psu).. )


so shit if you look at the copper fins and design you cant deny they where ment to be pretty and cool decent. but next build will have this xigmatek" or wtf ever it is if it looks decent or a TRUE Black edition cooler.. any other ideas for 70ish would be nice as well!


 
Form over function. I've known people to buy those Zalman 9xxx series HSFs because they like the way those things look. Sure, whatever turns their crank. There are worse reasons to buy something besides you liking how it looks.

Why "hate" a company? Just don't buy their stuff and move on, and don't waste your energy. *shrug* Maybe that's just me.

I love my Zalman 9700 and 9500 have 2 of each always on low in fan speed and keep the cpu cool but would try the new Scorpian X HDT-RS1283 120mm CPU Cooler if had to due a new build in the future also they are up over 2 years.

Tthe S1283 ain't new anymore, the S1284 is and only costs like $8 more.
 
the new Zalman 9900 is expected to sale for 100$,lolz

at 100$ you could get a nice core 2 duo already

This makes me want to smack Zalman marketing in the face with a 2x4.
 
im sure alot of people want to smack you in the face with a 2x4 as well rally master as you seem to spout off at least 3 times in each thread! i wouldnt pay the 100$ but who knows if it was 60ish i might bite.. i spent 70$ on a TRUE heatsinks
