Zalman CNPS7700-Cu CPU Cooler

I have a Zalman CNPS7700-Cu CPU Cooler on the way as part of my new system build. I haven't been able to see any really detailed close-up images of the components, but I have a question about the controller.

Does the contoller use a standard rotating knob (rheostat) to control the fan speed or does it use something other than a knob, like some sort of thumbwheel or something?

Where have you been mounting the controllers within your CPU cases? Any suggestions (or pics) describing/showing what you have done? I want something that looks clean, not like an after-thought.

Thanks all.

Don't install it. Most if not all modern systems are able to control the CPU fan based on the temp of the CPU. It's on by default most of the time but you may have to enable it in the BIOS.

I always leave my fan on high, so the controller never needs adjusting. noise is not an issue, with Two 120's and Three 80's going... So I left it inside the case.

Yes, it uses a rheostat to controll the speed: (Knob)
