I love these. I have these in both my gaming systems. Make sure you get some compressed air for the dusting between those fins...

Nice deal OP this is a very good price. This is the CNPS700A so it includes the FANMATE 1. So the fan speed controller cord is only long enough to mount inside a case. You can always buy the FANMATE2 so the controller can be mounted outside.

Can this fit on a socket A ? I have oc'd mobile 2400+ that could use a little more cooling.

It is the right model meaning it has clips for socket A, however you'll have to consult zalman website to see if your mobo is compatible with it.

I am currently running my s754 Athlon 2800+ setup with stock cooling. Right now I have it pushed to 2.2 ghz (9*245). Do you think the Zalman would help me push it further? I've tried as high as 265, but my CPU ran too hot.

dont know if it was the same model, but i got this awhile back for 40 at newegg, either i got raped or this is a good deal. dont have a great deal of knowledge (by that i mean i have no clue what im doing), but it is a very quiet fan, and it kept my cpu (celeron d, was going to oc but lacked the skills to pay the bills) approx. 20 degrees cooler than with the heatsink/fan that came with it. its huge too, but doesnt cut your finger off if you stick it in there while its on.

So does this not work on the 939 chipset? got the $115 AMD64 3000+ from another deal and looking for a good heatsink/cpu cooler.

Will this work with the vaunted EP-9NPA+ Ultra??? not listed here?. However a GA-9NPA+Ultra is listed.... this mobo doesnt show up on newegg....

Anybody know if this will fit into an Asus P4PE motherboard with an intel 3ghz cpu on a socket 478? I want to buy it but not sure if it will fit.

Yes, it'll fit an Asus P4PE. I installed one on that board.

is there any benefit or point of mounting the fan controller when you use AMD Cool 'n Quiet technology w/ an Athlon 64 CPU? I took my fan controller out to have less clutter inside my case because I thought I didn't need it if my fan's speed is automatically controlled by CPU load.

I was going to pick this one up from newegg for a new pc I'm building: Masscool 80mm. Is the Zalman worth the additional $10?? (it's for a mobile 2400+)

Also, does anyone know if it will fit in a epox ep-8vtai or a gigabyte k7dx??

haha, looks like it's not compatible w/ press-hots ;) , although it looks like its compatible w/ quite a few s939 boards

anyone know the performance difference between this and the all-copper version?

I have the CNPS7000-Cu from an old purchase on the EP-9NPA+ Ultra and a 3000+ Venice and I'm currently running at 34 degrees C. I rarely get past 39 C while gaming. I'm still not yet overclocking.
