Zalman 9700nt VS i7 920 Box Cooler

So is Zalman 9700nt alot better than i7´s box cooler?

Do you already own it? If not, it's not worth the money and you should pick up a better cooler such as the TRUE 1366RT.

If you do already own it, and you already have the 1366 bracket, why not? It's better, but there are a lot better choices for the money.

Is that ultra really better? But I need a different type of cooler, a cooler wich the fan send the air to the top of the case, and no to it´s side.

Thats couse i have 2 case fans at the top and 1 at the botton, and with a cpu fan sending air to the top it would create a perfect airflow.

The TRUE can be mounted that way as well, as can the xigmatech coolers, but why?

The TRUE-1366RT really is that much better at dissipating heat. The Zalman reaches it maximum heat dissipation rather quickly for such an expensive cooler.

And zagood is correct. You can mount it toward the top fan (as the Antec 900's side fan got in the way for toward the back mounting).

By looking at the TRUE and at 9700nt TRUE looks alot more simple, lol.

Yes. The mount allows you to have the tower horizontal and have a fan blowing upwards.

But i can´t put my tower horizontal, i´ll keep it vertical, is there a way to change the CPU fan to make it blow upwards?

that's what I meant. You can mount it like the zalman in that picture. The mount allows the tower to have airflow front-back or bottom-top.

You rotate the bracket so the airflow points upwards. I think I've restated this point in the past 3 times. And I doubt the difference in mounting positions would cause more than a 1-2C difference in temperatures.

Test it out. You have a rear exhaust and a top exhaust. I doubt its going to affect you in any way. I answered before, it's at most going to affect you 1-2C. Not important in the grand scheme of things. Your processor running at 50C or 52C or 60 vs 62C is not going to affect you in any way.
