Z77 SATA AHCI and RAID

I have an Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard. I am wondering if there is anyway to have both an Intel RAID and have my boot SSD in AHCI mode? The BIOS has one setting of SATA mode for the Z77 chipset SATA for of IDE/AHCI/RAID. So, if the SATA Mode is set to AHCI, can I still run a secondary disk in RAID, once the system is booted? I am running Windows 10 Professional. I know I have the Windows 10 storage pools, but I was hoping to get at least some extra performance from Intel hardware. The other thing is that I currently have a secondary SSD setup to accelerate the 2 drive RAID0 I have setup. I am not sure that Microsoft's Storage Pools will allow me to do that.

Thank you, for any assistance with this issue!

Set it to raid in bios, create raid 0 with the 2 mechanical hard drive and ignore the ssd. Install Windows 10 on ssd. Win?!
