In the US when you're talking about camaros, do you say ZEE-28 ??? I was wondering because in Canada we pronounce Z (the last letter of the alphabet) "zed", and in America they pronounce it "zee". To me saying zee-28 sounds stupid, and less manly than zed-28.

True, it's an American car but it's made in Canada (current generation), so I guess either way would work.

But if you call my Zee a Zed, I'm going to have to kick your arse.

If someone called it a "zed28" in front of me, I would laugh my ass off at them.

"Zed" is not a letter in the english language.
Zed consists of 3 separate letters.

It's funny how American English is always considered the "right" way to say things.

In England, Canada, New Zealand, and many other "English" speaking countries, the alphabet comes to a hard ending with "EKS, WHY, ZED" not "ZEE"

So who's really right, the originators of the language or the most economically powerful country? :)

What do they say in the rest of the english speaking world, zee or zed?

I guess in German it sounds like "zet" so the Canadian way to pronounce it is closer to the origin.
So clearly the economic power takes precedence b/c everyone else is living in the past--metric system, low-German pronunciations....

Weird.

This could go one for hours. Everything that has the letter "Z" in the name is pronounced as "Zee" in the US. EVERYTHING!

it really depends on if the bumper sticker on it says "B!tchin Camero" or "B!tchin Z28" and the guy driving has a mullet.

Back home in Ohio we can get a couple of Windsor stations (useful when the Red Wings play a Canadian team) and I remember watching commercials for the "Ford Escort 'Zed X' Two".
