Only if you clock the RAM at those speeds.
Do make sure you buy DDR4 that is qualified to work with your motherboard.

While the 6700K isn't on. Its certified up to 4133Mhz. Above that and overclocking of the IMC begins.

ark.intel.com etc only list 2133 because its the only one at the time that could be validated from both sides. If it was today it would be 2400Mhz. The limit is the memory chips. All chips above 2400 is OCed memory.

Asus' list for the Maximus VIII Gene is woefully out of date. It is missing most all of the major brand 2x8 GB kits that I have been looking at.

I don't know how many PCs I have put together and I have never referenced the RAM compatibility list for any motherboard before purchasing, and the few times I looked at it after-the-fact, my exact model was never listed. I just buy quality memory that follows the established industry standards and never have any problems.
