Yeah, even the decoder box bears a resemblance. Some day I'll upgrade my PC speakers past 2.1... still using the speakers it came with back in 98.

Same. I've thought about getting the z680's on more that one occasion.

they're definately worth the price. my bro got them for $200 off Amazon. We got some 16-gauge speaker wire at Radio Shack to extend the rears. We're using every input, too. The Playstation 2 is hooked up optically, the DVD player is hooked up through coaxial digital, and the gamecube runs through the VCR on 6-channel direct. I used his z-640 RCA stereo adapter to hook up to the VCR. It's a pretty tight system, too bad we can't turn it up past half since he's in an apartment :p

Alesis Introduces Proactive 5.1
We missed this one from back in December. Alesis had announced a new THX-certified 5.1 speaker system, the Alesis ProActive 5.1. The system is identical to the Logitech Z680 as the design was OEMed by Logitech to Alesis, who typically is targeting the pro audio and music industry markets. The Alesis Proactive 5.1 is going for an estimated street price of $399.00. For specifications and more you can check out the full press release. Thanks to Andwele for the pointer.
