You must be drinking Premium or Premium Light. Try the Lager or the Chesterfield.

It's so prevalent in Phillyland that you can go into any bar and simply ask for a "lager" and you'll end up with Yuengling lager.

While it's not necessarily the best beer in the world, around here it costs the same as or less than the other mass-produced domestic beers, which is exactly why it's so popular. Given a choice at most bars between Bud, Miller, Coors and Yuengling all for the same price, the only reason you would NOT buy the Yuengling is because you simply don't like lagers.

You're talking fruit vs. apples. A pilsner is a style of lager. Although I agree that the big brewers make poor excuses for the style of beer they are attempting to make.

Its one of my preferred beers next to Killians and Sam Adams

That's weird, down here in South FL, you can get Yuengling at just about any grocery store and at most bars in bottles and maybe draft.

EDIT: Duh, just RTFA and I see that they have a plant down here in Tampa, that must explain it...

Yuengling is good beer. My brother and I got my dad to switch to it as his primary beer, and he's from Germany! So take that!

It's a growing company, but it's still not nationwide. Whenever my relatives from Chicago visit, they take a case or two back with them. You can't find it there. But they've got great homemade root beer from Wisconsin, so I guess it's a fair trade.

I'm from Pennsylvania and I love that beer. We can finally get it down here in North Carolina.

No one I know drinks Yuengling, I can do the Lager or B&T here and there, but very very rarely do I. Haven't bought it in 10+ years tho.

I thought Yuengling was burning to the ground a few weeks ago, came home from work to the see half of Pottsville in smoke. Turned out to be some buildings across the street. I'm only two blocks away.

Pic! That would be the Yuengling plant with the flags and trucks backed into the loading bays. That's the old Yuengling Ice Cream plant across the street. Think it was created durin prohibition? Hell I forget why... :)

Hmm, never heard of it here on the West Coast, but we have our fare share of microbreweries.

I'll take a Widmer Bros' Unfiltered Wheat Hefeweizen.

Yeungling is not bad. It has a better flavor that Sam Adams. It is just not "to die for". It is not a Tsing Tao or Pilsner Urgell.

But, it is definitely better than Rolling Rock, Keystone, and Iron City!

yup I live in PA and I am college. Thats probably the prefered drink of choice. Tonight is my last final and there will be a poker tournament at my friends house...no doubt in my mind that there will be a good quantity of Yuengling for me to suck down.

While its not my favorite beer I still enjoy it. Its pretty thick and fills you up thick.

Gah...even ATOT isn't safe for me this morning. I come in hungover after a long night only to find a thread about one of the beers I chased shots with last night.

*runs off to dry heave*
