seeing as han solo doesn't believe in the force despite the fact he was alive during the republic/start of empire, i think it is safe to say that information travels very slowly in the star wars universe.

Maybe it was due to the mistrust everyone had for the jedi and the fact that 95% of them died.

Should an average moisture farmer have heard of the Millenium Falcon?

wtf is a moisture farmer?

Oh in the movie??

Why would he have heard of a single ship?

Unless it was the Enterprise. ;)

You havent heard about the Millenium Falcon. It can do the Kessel run in 12 parsecs.
I thought a parsec was a unit of distance.

Hold on a minute...Science...Fiction...I think I'm on to something here! :p

It IS a unit of distance...that's one of the better known science failings of the Star Wars universe...

That's like "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and people thinking leagues as measure of depth.

No, because it's the Millennium Falcon.

mille + annos = one thousand years
mille + anus = one thousand old women (e.g. Mazda Millenia or the Millenium Hotel near WTC in NYC; not related to goatse in any way)
