I am running Linux Mandrake 8.1, KDE &Opera 6

I create a new user.

I login.

Your system logs me in as the newest member everytime.

This is not good.

Fix it please.

Could you go into a little more detail?

Are you saying you create a single new user, or several?

Are you saying that you're logged in not as yourself but as the newest registered member?

I have a mandrake linux 8.1 box at home, if need be, I can try and duplicate the problem tomorrow when I go home. Mods, PM me if you want me to try.

MrBond,

We appreciate the offer, but we have Mandrake users among the mod group. We already checked it.

Yeah, I'm running Mandrake 8.1 with Opera 6 on one of my machines. I've never had a problem with it, but then again, I've never registered to the forums in Linux.

I posted about this last week and nobody replied to my post.

Incidentally, I am not using linux when I log in, i'm using 98se. It only happened to me one day last week, but it happened a few times that day and I thought I was going nuts.

at least its logging you in as a newbie member and not as an old timer's account or a mod-enabled account

edit-but either way it is not good because private info could flow over pm into the wrong hands if this is exploitable
