Youtube's videos are being muted automatically

Anybody else experiencing this problem? Happening on my home desktop and my work laptop. I have to manual increase the volume slider to hear sound in the player.
 
I've been having a similar or same problem. I'll open a video and no sound. I never noticed that it is muted though.

Usually I refresh the page a couple times and it comes back with sound. I figured it was a chrome bug.
 
I kept running into this the other day, and from the lack of any chatter about it, I thought it was just me. 😛 Glad to know I'm not going (too) crazy!

if someone watches sports video only this may be applicable but most of the stuff I see on youtube is music or spoken stuff so it would be really bad if it happened to me.
 
Thought it was me - "what the heck? Did I accidentally mute this?" Glad to see this thread.
 
Noticed it does this on my work computer, which probably isn't a bad thing. On Firefox. I've found YouTube in general to be kind of flaky since they went mucking around with the player again.
 
I don't see it as a big problem. Its better than the loud ads that make me fumble for the mute button at work.
