Wow big change. Just trying it out now.

A screen shot for those who aren't seeing the new look yet. And for olds who doesn't know how the internet works.

Hmm how the hell do you remove a video from the subscriptions list? What I liked about the old look was you could "close" all the new vids from your subscriptions list that you weren't interested in and they wouldn't show up again. And you could see many more channels/vids per page. The look they have now looks nice but doesn't work if you are subscribed to a few channels that upload hundreds of vids per week, like Gamespot or IGN. They will just swamp the list. I see you can click on the individual channels on the left. Guess that's the way they want to do it now. :hmm:

It looks quite nice. Trying to see if the look is configurable at all though, would be nice. I think they are planning it but you can't yet.
 
How does the OP not have a link? I stopped memorizing URLs around the same time I stopped memorizing phone numbers.
 
They again took out the links that are "Because you watched..." from the recommended links of the videos they recommend. Why! I want them to put it back. I like to know how my browsing affects what shows up.

And from what I seen in the old control panel, you can clear your watched history to start new with the recommendations.
 
Certainly looks nice. Not sure it's as nicely laid out from an efficiency perspective. Will take a little getting used to.

Im a heavy YT user, running 5 seperate channels. I spend about 8-10 hours a day there, and this change is horrific. It was (is) known as Youtube Panda and I voiced all my concerns to them back in June. Even worse, try the new look for your profile page.

Its a big ball of javascript garbage. It is tacky, disgusting and unacceptable.

I hate it. I can't clear out videos in my subscriptions I don't want to see and that black abortion on the left side... what the fuck is that?

Yes this is my single complaint right now. I want to clear out my watched videos.

Honestly, I think they purposely screw things up over there on a regular basis to stay empoyed. If things run smoothly for too long and everyone is happy, suddenly we dont need so many programmers that make $50+ an hour. But this is the case at most software houses these days including MS.

Programmer job security. :thumbsdown:

Reminds me of a friend. I sent him a link to FPSRussia and he responded "nah, I don't really go on Youtube much". I was like, what? The even more odd thing is he shares a ton of videos on Facebook.

I spend an hour/day on Youtube. Way more than what I spend watching TV.
