Youtube star Trevor Heitmann committed suicide by driving his Mclaren the wrong way on the freeway killing himself along with a mother and her 12 year old daughter.

Fits into my crazy theory that the Internet has gone sentient and is out to eliminate the human race using social media.

It control all we see and hear. It knows our deepest thoughts. It is out to drive us to Insanity/Suicide.

This might had been the actual reason. Man, he was making a fortune on CS Go skins. One skin would sell for thousands of dollars. At the time of his ban he had over $100k in skins. No wonder he was distraught. My guess is he didn't like the idea of having to possibly lock for a "real job." I don't know though. He had over 800k in YT subs.

Various tweets by gaming fans said he had been banned from facilitating e-sport gambling that had brought him a sizable income — enough to buy a handmade, 2015 British McLaren 650S sports car that would have cost $250,000 or more.

Kids these days are acting just like sports stars and movie stars that can't handle the fame. There are those who do it correctly - stay out of the spotlight... Not spend all their money on 53464 cars, expensive jewelery, douchebag-o-rama clothing, etc...

I think the difference is that they do it even worse than the real stars.

Also - this person is an asshole and a douchebag - but I'm not quite following where it was proven a suicide? Typically this happens from drunk people - not that I'm doubting it was done on purpose. I just searched the article for the word "suicide" and couldn't find it.

McSkillet was only 19. Imagine coming into a ton of money at 19. I know that I'd be buying exoctic cars, homes, etc. I'd probably spend recklessly unless I had an older person overseeing my expenses. At 19. your brain isn't even fully developed yet. That's also a lot fo money to handle at one time. I'm just surprised that people were willing to buy CS skins for thousands. There must be a lot of people in this world who have a ton of money and who love blowing it.

NO!

The title of all this should be "A mother and her daughter were slaughtered by a slime ball" Look at the picture and tell me that these innocent people deserved to die because this worm was throwing a hissy fit. If this Asshole wanted to die he could have driven his car off of PCH into the ocean. However he chose to kill two innocent people. You want to mourn someone, mourn this mother and daughter and their family who have now suffered this horrible loss and pain. All because of this prick.

FWIW…
https://timesofsandiego.com/crime/2...fatal-crash-was-gaming-mogul-trevor-heitmann/
Exactly how and why Heitmann wound up racing down the interstate against traffic — and whether he did so intentionally or by mistake — remained under investigation Friday afternoon, Sanchez said. Investigators believe he had entered from Carroll Canyon Road, about a half-mile north of the crash scene.

The San Diego teenager evidently had also been involved in a strange reckless-driving episode that took place about a half-hour before the deadly freeway collision, Sanchez told reporters.

About 4 p.m., a black coupe believed to be Heitmann’s high-performance British sports car smashed through a gate at Ashley Falls Elementary School in Carmel Valley and accelerated onto the grounds of the campus near groups of shocked students, according to the CHP and San Diego police.

According to witnesses, the driver stopped briefly, get out of the car and smashed a window on a school building. He then got back into the McLaren and sped away.

Why Heitmann, who lived near the school, might have decided to go on a dangerous and destructive joyride at a school was unclear.

The gamer was identified by friends as prolific YouTuber OG McSkillet
He drove his McLaren 650S 100mph in the wrong direction on I-805 HOV in San Diego, California
The teenager plowed into a woman in a Hyundai who was with her daughter
All three of them died and one other person was injured and taken to hospital
Thirty minutes earlier, the same McLaren was seen crashing through the gates of Ashley Falls Elementary School
Earlier this year, McSkillet was banned from trading inventory for the online game Counter Strike Global Offensive
It caused him to lose more than $100,000 in online inventory, according to pundits
McSkillet, whose real name Trevor Heitmann, had more than 880,000 YouTube followers

So this idiot, Trevor Heitmann AKA McSkillet loses control of his
McLaren at 100mph (weak), smashes through a school and kills himself, a mom and her 12yo daughter.

Guy was apparently a youtuber.

What the fuck. I drive those exact roads so often. Ugh this pisses me off. If he was so distraught; just get some pills and go quietly goddamn it. Having that kind of online fame and presence though also means subject to tons of people flinging shit at you. Kid was a fucking asshole, but also all those who flung dirt on him is also an asshole.

Anyone can explain why he was banned from CSGO though? Is selling skins off-game against the game's TOS?

At the very least he could have found a nice tree to wrap his car around.

Damn that sucks. What an asshole thing for the guy to do. Seems he had it made if he was making that much money off the game. Sucks for him that he got banned but given he had a 250k car it's not like he was not well off either way with the money he already had. Could have found another gig and moved on instead of taking his life and other people with it. :/ Scumbag.

Also crazy to think that there is even that much money in a game skin lol. Like wow lol.

I wonder if he owed some people some major debt from the gambling aspect...edit: just saw the link above, "Earlier this year, McSkillet was banned from trading inventory for the online game Counter Strike Global Offensive It caused him to lose more than $100,000 in online inventory"

And dude, you have no idea. Supposedly there's a $50 billion industry for skins, man:

wtf is this? is this his way of getting his family out of being sued by the people affected by how he decided to off himself with some sort of insanity thing?

Those are two separate events. He crashed through the gate at the school (seemingly intently), and then later drove on the freeway in the wrong direction at high speed (possibly, I'd say probably, intently).

Yea, I get it that the game is really popular but hundreds or even thousands for a skin?, is it a FPS game or a fashion contest..

It has nothing to do with the game. Its because its gambling. Simple as that, they turned them into an actual gambling game. I'm sure that's all on the up and up too (how many kids that aren't old enough, probably using parents money and shit). The whole situation is despicable, and its going to get worse as the gaming industry tries to start implementing similar (people think microtransactions are bad). Valve doesn't give a fuck as it gets them money and I think its technically separate somehow so they can claim they don't have any control over it.

There was a bit of a fiasco about this awhile back when a couple of guys got caught shilling one of the gambling sites (not telling people they ran it, and when people said they did one of them claimed he had no affiliation, which of course was a lie).

How much more profit could he have made on the gambling site versus straight up selling the skins? Dude was already making an absolute killing selling shit that should have virtually no real world value and threw it all away so I hope the potential payout was huge over what just selling it/them would have been.
