YouTube vs. Google Video

I like the smaller/better quality video in YouTube (as well as the colors) as opposed to the boring, huge, and pixelated (not to mention 1990s themed) Google Video.

Hmm. Metacafe looks very nice (the design), but still not as popular as YouTube and G Video.. which I believe 90% of people use here.

Youtube : Pros
1) Better picture quality (far better than google).
2) Fast loading (BTW, Google videos is faster, from what I have seen)
3) Ease of portability (not sure how easy is google video in this respect).
4) Larger community.

One think that I have noticed about you tube is that is you press the "stop" (the big red cross) on the internet exporer, the video streaming does not stop.

My vote goes to youtube.

yea...i like how you can leave comments. you can't do that on google video

you can leave comments in google video. my google videos load faster than youtube.. but youtube has more content so it wins.

Youtube is better, IMO. Google needs to use a fixed size on their video window and give an option to go screen-sized.

I'm gonna have to side with YouTube and not Google on this one...

For one thing the user base on YouTube is a lot bigger and there's a lot more videos available (especially when you're searching for live concerts). The videos tend to load a lot more smoothly for me, but props to google for their superior streaming technology... I can skip to wherever I want and it'll do it right.

I used to think youtube was a terrible idea and just a bunch of crap that nobody wanted to see. However when I realized the actual potential of youtube, the cool community possibilities, and the simple fact that so many people create acoustic guitar music and upload their videos where I can easily watch and learn the music, i'm sold on youtube. The main reason being the way to share, watch and learn cool new music.

youtube has a bigger userbase. google lets me download videos. and I find most of youtubes video to look like crap compared to google.. AT THE SAME SIZE (default google is to stretch it so it looks worse). And when you download it, if it was originally of decent quality, you get that back.
