.... Wut? $50/month for TV Streaming service? Can you link what you're talking about?

The most I know of is Youtube Premium, where it's something like $10/month.

lol - Looks like it's basically my local channels + ESPN. Complete rip-off.

ESPN is dead if you haven't realized. No one cares about their dumb commentary anymore. I didn't mind PTI, but I can EASILY do without it.

Sports are dead. People are tired of $200 tickets and stupid drama queens in NBA/MLB/NFL.

It's pretty clear that Netflix is going to win the streaming war at this point....

I was on PS Vue TV for years. That died in January. Looked at youtube TV, looked at the price. Ehhh. I haven't had TV in 6 months. Haven't missed it.
Between raising cable internet costs and raising "Internet TV" costs, it was just as bad or worse than straight up paying for cable TV.

TBH after ATT DTV Now jacked their price sometime beginning of last year I switched back to Comcast. I'm about even right now, but pretty sure Comcrap is going to go up in the near future. We looked at YTTV initially, but the wife actually watches some of the Viacom shows (16 and Pregnant etc.) and at the time they didn't have it.

every time i see one of these threads i'm shocked at the amount of services americans pay for.

services i pay for:

1. rent
2. food
3. uh .. internet n' shit. gas, light. council tax.

thaaaaaaat's it. I don't pay for someone to do my laundry, i don't have a subscription to a porn website, don't pay the new york times online, dont have a vpn, i dont even take the bus. who is his right mind would pay for a streaming service, i really do not understand. ok, you got kids, you get something that's got cartoons on it, maybe netflix, but that's enough. the idea that ANY company today wants your money, that's just ridiculous.
Hotmail premium. Youtube premium. Pornhub premium. no thanx.

Kids don't need cartoons or netflix; not as a service anyway. The occasional dvd from a yard sale or discount bin is more than sufficient, and they can do something more productive with their time.

I had Direct TV Now but dropped it after the 2nd price hike. I also have Netflix and Prime. I recently added Hbo Max when they sent me an offer for $13 a month for a year. The sad part is I spend most of my time looking for something I'm in the mood to watch and end up watching regular old youtube :disappointed:

At that price, it's probably just cheaper to get a TV and Internet bundle from the cable company.

Comcast might be evil, but their Xfinity online steaming options are pretty impressive.

I just have Xfinity for internet and get their Entertainment streaming bundle for $15.00 a month. It has TNT, History, A&E, AMC, Discovery, TBS, Bravo, MTV, SYFY, etc. Just no news channels or sports. But I have rabbit ears for that so it's good enough for me, and Netflix of course.

Think I'll pass on both ... Youtube TV was a rip @ $50 nevermind $65!

Since YouTubeTV let's you stream on 3 concurrent devices, I share it with my mom and sister, who live about an hour away from me, and it works like a charm. Totally worth it.

Not to mention basically no sports this year.
I agree ESPN is a massive ripoff, big part of the reason I cancelled cable was the $12 per month "local sports fee". I asked if I could opt out of "local sports broadcasts" since I can watch them for free OTA. I was told nope you can't.
