How do I get YouTube on my Roku 3?

Have to use Plex (on a separate server) then install the youtube app that comes with the unsupported channel app.

Yup, and this works as good as a native app. Just install the Plex Media Server on any computer on your network:

http://www.plexapp.com/getplex/

Then install the Plex channel on the Roku. Youtube player is within Plex. There's no official Youtube channel on Roku (yet), so this is the next best thing.

Eh..not AS good. Search function doesn't work in the UAC, but it's better than nothing.

UAC = user account? I don't sign into Youtube, but search works pretty good on mine...

You can also send a video from Youtube on your phone to the TV via the Roku, if you're on the same wireless network. Nice!

Absolutely already love the new functionality of throwing youtube to Roku via phone/laptop/desktop etc.
