YouTube on Roku 3

Have to use Plex (on a separate server) then install the youtube app that comes with the unsupported channel app.

Yup, and this works as good as a native app. Just install the Plex Media Server on any computer on your network:

http://www.plexapp.com/getplex/

Then install the Plex channel on the Roku. Youtube player is within Plex. There's no official Youtube channel on Roku (yet), so this is the next best thing.
 
Awwww yeaah!

Absolutely already love the new functionality of throwing youtube to Roku via phone/laptop/desktop etc.
