It seems like mob instinct is kicking in here.

The fact that John Connor is having this problem means Youtube can improve its interface to be more user friendly. User errors are also the designer's responsibility.

Ugh they have the auto search crap on youtube too now? I use youtube centre so it probably blocks that out. I HATE autosearch. Auto complete is fine, but autosearch is retarded. Let me freaking finish typing before submitting dummy. Whoever came up with that idea should be fired. Even the actual search engine does that too now. Yeah you can disable it but you have to do it on every computer. If anything they should make it an option but not the default. Don't get me started with the new google maps, that's another disaster. Does not work in Linux.

Youtube keeps getting worse and worse though in general. It's too bad there does not seem to be any better site that is as popular. Youtube was better before Google touched it.

My point exactly. John Connor's not the only one dealing with this issue.

What is YouTube auto search? I've never had it do that on any system I use (home PC, my laptop, work computer, cell phone, Kindle Fire). When I type in the search bar it sits there until I hit "Enter" or click the button. I'm pretty sure I didn't change some setting because I don't recall ever seeing it in the first place.

I will agree on the auto play video thing, though. That's a fucking TERRIBLE "feature." You go to someone's channel page and click "Videos" to see their (most recent) videos. Fine, you pick one. The stupid piece of shit puts it in a playlist and when that video you clicked is over, it automatically goes to the next one. Ugh that's so fuckin stupid.

I will give him that the Google+ integration is just awful. It was allegedly supposed to cut down on the garbage in the comments. Yet somehow, they've only gotten worse. PewDiePie actually shut them down on his channel because he got tired of dealing with all the spam. That says something when your #1 YouTuber bails on you.

Google+ is a poor imitation of Facebook IMO. Fewer posting features. Yeah, it's got the hangouts and SEO advantages. But for the average person, it's pretty much useless. Nobody knows what to do with it.

Done, and I didn't have to touch Youtube's interface. I never really had issues with Youtube's search though. Sounds like some kind of option is toggled that shouldn't be.

Except that, so far, he is. I went to youtube and look what I came back with, without running afoul of autosearch and without messing with any settings.

I can't reproduce the issue and have no idea what caused the claimed problems, but he's pretty much retarded so right now I'm going with PEBKAC.

It's obviously PEBKAC. But the error happened, so the interface can be better. Just sayin'.

The problem with autoplaying the next video happened while I was logged in! It was my music list in my channel. When you click it it plays the video and when it's been taken down it will cycle to the next automatically, meanwhile I'm trying to type in the damn search box. The auto cycle happens when you are viewing your play lists. I never had a problem before Google took over and completely fucked it up.

Yeah the auto play lists is the stupidest thing, it should be off by default and there should be a button somewhere you click to enable it. Not the other way around. You can disable it but you need to be quick.

I think youtube is trying to stop people from being able to comment. The G+ thing and now the auto play thing (it will move to another page before you can type a comment). If they really don't want people to comment on videos they should just disable the feature altogether. The comment system is crippled enough as is even without the G+ thing. There's no organization into what comment is replying to what etc. Mind you they seem to have slightly improved that now, it was worse before. For more technical oriented videos the comments can actually be useful.

Exactly! For a moment there I thought I was a dumbass, retard or fly fake planes what ever that means. LOL!

Yeah, the comments for the technical stuff is useful, especially for computer stuff.

I do use YouTube Center. Maybe they should put a feature in there to stop auto cycle of videos in your play list on your channel.
