Just about to insert my spacecraft into orbit around some distant planet/moon. Especially because by the time I heard that, it'd be at least 10 minutes too late.

With your skills and access to high voltage equipment you could overhaul bingo to make it more interesting. Complete the card => completes the circuit. Old lady shrieks BINGO! at the old lady across the table who promptly catches fire a la SPECTRE meeting gone bad.
 
Making it a hair raising experience is usually enough. 😉
