You're going to be on a cruise ship for four months

So I know there are a lot of folks with cruise experience on the boards...but those are for a week at a time.

I'm going to be going from Seattle to Alaska for four months straight.

So, what would you bring if you were me? What books, DVDs, games and gadgets?

It'd be kind of stupid to pack for 4 months of entertainment. I mean even clothes, you'll probably buy a few more when you're on shore as you go along. Same with entertainment like books, movies, condoms. Bring a laptop for sure that can hopefully play some single player games. A good camera, take pictures of the chicks and bring condoms for said chicks.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

1) Swedish-made penis enlarger pump.
2) "Swedish-made Penis Enlargers And Me: This Sort of Thing Is My Bag Baby"

I'd say fuck that and drive to Alaska. Even from Missouri, I can get there a lot faster than 4 months.

A Kindle 2? Although I don't know if you'd get the cellular connection to download new books. I'd probably bring a book of DVDs or rip as many as possible too. Emulator and controller with tons of old-school games.

When you quote an author, like this one from Hunter S. THompson's Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, you should at least put it in quotation marks

When you address me, especially on a public forum like this one, you should get on one knee and call me Sire.

This isn't a thesis, and I won't put a bibliography in my posts. Now cry yourself to sleep and hope that you feel better in the morning.

Bring a bunch of movies you've always wanted to watch but never got around to it.
Same with books.

what's the occasion? I mean, are you going with a group of people on an extended vacation or do you have a job on board?

I LOLed at both the quote and your response.

Same with books.

They usually have a fair selection of movies to borrow onboard, plus first/second run movies in the theatre

So you'll be working on board? Which is cool, don't get me wrong.
