The right is going to have to fire Rush Limbaugh.

But more importantly, AFTER he is gone they are going to have to remove themselves from his ideas. That will take much longer.

A to be determined THIRD PARTY has more of a shot at becoming viable than an arduously reformed republican party in the far distant, distant future.

This could be a GREAT time for Donald Trump to restore his demolished brand.

He needs to say YOU'RE FIRED! - to Rush Limbaugh.

It would be a game changing win win win for the mortally wounded conservatives.

If it really looked like Rush was in trouble I bet Dems would start listenting to his show to boost his ratings.

While Rush buried the Dems for years we intend to get full payback by keeping him on the air and destroying the future of the Republican party.

Heck, I'd donate an Oxy for that.

Other than his reposting pretty close clones of his previously locked threads, I'm not really sure why he should be banned. Sure, it looks like a troll but that hasn't been enough to ban countless other members.

He is still around because there are enough of us older folks who need somebody to laugh at while drinking our morning coffee....

Troll is a term which has some distinctions within it. Some voice unpopular opinions that the majority disagree with. They are referred to as trolls, but even so they are expressing a sincere if sometimes bizarre personal reality. Then again we have some who are clearly parody posters, using extremes of another position to highlight what they see as absurdities of the political opposition. Then we have those who post in an exaggerated style like ole' bill here. I judge him to be the purist form, one who may or may not believe what he posts, but his purpose is to grate on everyone's nerves. That is his internet reason to be. I note that when posters who generally back the position held start to see a person as being a troll then there's meat to the accusation since it's not the subject itself they find annoying.

The guy was a philosophy major. Maybe he just likes to toss ideas about in a flamboyant manner to garner discussion. Not a whole heck of a lot different from Moonie, really.

Moonie I respect because he has a genuine desire to see good done. He and I have different approaches and he can certainly poke hard, but he and I have some common core beliefs. Sometimes we see the same and at others differently, but at no time is there question of good intent. This one? Well he's flamboyant, but so is a lemon yellow suit with an orange polka-dot tie. Flash and no substance.

The jury is still out on that IMO. The guy can use a gif at least as well as Schneiderguy, which is a rare an admirable quality. I know many here don't consider that substance, but I sure do.

We'll how he evolves. Panache is entertaining, but I'm more impressed by argument than moving pictures on a screen.

But we're all different, and that's a good thing :) How gawdawful would it be if we were not.

Rush Limbaugh owns the network that broadcasts him. The only person that can fire Rush Limbaugh is Rush Limbaugh. I don't think you know what "mortally wounded" means.

Whew. I was worried there for a minute.
As a Democrat we need all the Rush Limbaugh we can get for as long as can get him.
He was a one man Republican majority creator. Now he is working on a creating a Democratic majority.

Hmmm. Maybe the Republicans are half right. They may not be jobs but the are at least creating somethng.

Sorry...I had to bounce.

I'm back to maintain my thread.

Seriously, I have had Fox News on for the past few days.

FOX NEWS IS RUNNING ON MY TV RIGHT NOW as I type.

I have NEVER watched FOX NEWS in my life!

I think it is hilarious!

I REALLY ENJOY having it on now.

It's delicious!

And I get to watch them implode and point fingers at each other for years to come!

The Rush Limbaugh thing is going to be magical!

Funny! Funny! Funny!

Seeing as how a flip-flopping, tax return hiding, insulter of 47% of the population and more candidate still managed to get 48% of the vote, I don't see the Republican party going anywhere anytime soon. Love it or hate it the country is split right down the middle and will be for some time to come.

Actually, no.

The great achievement of the Republican party has been to rouse the sleeping giant of Democrats who have been complacently sitting out election after election.

Democrats have always been defeated by the Republicans greater turnout and were getting trounced when the Republicans figured out how to motivate their base thru hatred and extremist views.

Now the Democrats seem prepared to vote at a higher level for years to come. While at the same time they are adding far more new voters every year while
Republicans are losing voters.

All it will take is anywhere from 2 to 6 years for the Democrats to have a structural majority.
