What does your computer work area look like?

Mine is just a 6ft long flat top table that my dad gave me. I never liked the look of the computer desks that are sold at stores becuase they aren't built the way I like them. I need a long flat surface to put all my stuff on, and I like it better. This summer I am going to build my own desk just the way I want it, which sould be a task in itself.

So how does your area look like? And also post a link if you have a pic of your setup.

right now my work area is composed of my laptop, a book, and the tiny cubicle in the PCL library at UT. let me tell you, it sux!! i want to go home. all study and no play make homer go mad

a regular desk, a nice executive chair, 4 speakers on desk and lots of apple cores, banana peels, pens, pencils, a flashlight, a palm cradle, a phone, a bolw with some grapes in it, a screwdriver and some magnets.

The front seat of my car with a wireless laptop.

At home it's a lot better. Corner desk with fax, printer, scanner, tv and radio all within arms reach. Not to mention my two dogs who like to chill under my desk.

I also like to have everything within arms distance from me. But the ultimate addition to my room is going to be a mini fridge. I have always wanted on in my room, but the cash flow is getting dry so that will have to wait. But the messier the better sometimes. I have to keep my fish food right beside my monitor sometimes so I want forget to feed my fish, sometimes papers seem to fly in front of his bowl and I forget he is there. But when my mom comes in and tells me that I need to clean my room, I try to explain to her my way of "organizing" things but she never believes me.

Your are correct.. but I don't even really notice it anymore. Now the heat on the other hand is a different story!
