Your winter vehicle

The best winter driver I've had was a 78 Rabbit. Runner up was a 80 Escort. I live in Arizona now so I can't say how the Fit would do other than it would plow anything over five inches deep. Worst winter driver I've ever had the displeasure of driving was my dad's Mustang 5.0. Like pushing a brick on ice.

I use an '06 Honda Civic EX year round. It's an excellent snow car for anyone that's wondering. I have Michelin X-Ice tires and I highly recommend them.

The Civic could use 4WD, but I'm guessing that would kill the fuel economy.

Do any of you know how tire pressure affects traction on the snow? I find that with more air in the tires, my car does not handle as well. Should I under-inflate a bit during bad weather? When it gets colder, do you need to inflate tires or deflate them?

Same 04' Expedition I drive year round. If I have to shelter a vehicle during a certain time of the year I wouldn't buy it. I dont have the time to baby vehicles.
