heh I realize the same.... I know that nobody online really cares... but I do it largely out of boredom. I kinda stopped writing journal entries, etc., like most blog users do. I just post random shit... pictures I've taken, quite a few quotes, etc. It's much more useful to those that know me and want to look something up than to the general public.

Nothing useful here. 😛 I can't remember 😉 It's been a year or two since I installed it, but I don't recall it being any particular challenge. I do recall deleting it because I thought it was a waste of space. There are better engines out there... as always, IMHO
 
There is a manual on wordpress.org, it took me like two days to install cause I'm a tard. And I still don't have it the way I like it...

same here.. but i use b2evolution. My blog is not slow, but everything else you said is true!
 
http://rand0m.org ... I host the bimmer chick and the wal-mart girls, so I get a ridiculous amount of traffic to the blog side of things -- ~450,000 uniques a month.

edit: my backend is custom written php to make it do what I need it to do, centered around a mysql db. All of it runs off a ds3 at a local ISP that a friend of mine colos at for free ... and they don't do very much bandwidth management, so I've enjoyed several 12-15mbps spikes.
