how often does steam have these types of sales? some of these games are relatively old. a handful that looked interesting doesn't even seem to run on Windows 7.

when will ARMA II go on sale. I want it for the mods, but that's about all.

I doubt you'll see a significant price drop in arma II stuff until arma III comes out. They are milking DayZ for all its worth... I hope I'm wrong though...

Anyone else kind of disappointed about the sale so far? Maybe because I got most of the titles around X-mas I was interested in.

I dont like that I cant buy a 4 pack of Left 4 Dead without creating a new account. Id like to buy a 4 pack and give them to friends to get them on steam.

Must be treating it differently. I know on the two things I bought it asked me during the checkout process if the purchase was for me or if I wanted to gift it to someone else.

I've lost track of what I have purchased this sale. I have got 454 games attached to my Steam account though...

Yeah, most of the games on sale are garbage as usual.

Everybody just buys tons of games because they're cheap, and never plays them. That's what Steam sales are all about.

Seems like all these deals were a repeat from last year.

I picked up a few good games. I don't play a ton of video games and I generally lag about a year behind the new releases because I prefer to wait for things to get cheap (under $20). So for someone like me, the sale was pretty good. Most of the games I bought were a couple years old but I had never played them. There's a second advantage to that as well - because I bought slightly older games, I don't have to upgrade my graphics card as frequently.

I can still see how the sale was disappointing, though. If you play games at release then you'll probably already own most of what was put on sale this time around. Also there were a ton of repeats.

Really satisfied with my Alan wake series purchase and The Darkness II definitely worth it's money.

Got them both for 10 bucks.
