Using a pencil seems like a bad idea. They can be erased....

candidate selection review should have listed the candidates party with the name

This seems to be a new standard, even in the local political ads. If you dont want to be labeled a Liberal, dont tell anyone what party you represent if you are a Democrat.

Did they have a straight party ticket selection like most ballots have?

Yes they did, but I did not try that feature.
