It took me a while to learn how to put them in, but I'm glad I did.

However, if you're more comfortable with glasses, then stick with them.

Contacts require a little bit more work than glasses but it's not really that hard now is it? You can get disposables or no-rub solution. I guess if you have a problem with putting things in your eyes then get glasses. However, I used to HATE even putting eye drops in my eyes, absolutely couldn't stand it. But I overcame that and I have no problems putting in or taking out my contacts.

I use contacts, the biocompatibles ones. They are pretty good contacts, but I have a little bit of astigmatism, and can't see as clear through contacts as i would glasses. I could get the astigmatism ones, but they are a buttload more expensive, and are specific to each eye, and take a bit longer to put in. My prescription is at -3.50 for both eyes. I am nearsighted.

Hopefully, I am going to get laser surgery on my eyes when I'm about 23 or sooner. It's getting cheaper now, and the technology and surgeons have gained a lot of experience.

Those contacts that you can leave on for a month straight scare me. How do they let enough oxygen into your eye? And I'm sure you still have to put in special drops in once a day at least. Anyone have experience with these?

yeah i wouldn't wear those. gotta be very careful with soft contacts. i had a teacher that got some sort of crazy bacteria that literally ate her eye as a result of not keeping her soft contacts clean enough. she had to get a transplant, etc. soft ones are safe as long as you keep them clean....

I used contacts from 7th grade until I was maybe a sophomore in college. I was taking so many lab classes and working with chemicals at work that I had to get glasses again, and decided to quit messing with going back and forth all the time. I'd look better with contacts, I know, but I'm just gonna stay with glasses until I can get my eyes fixed.
