Just got an Asian kid. Extremely polite and well spoken. Pretty much stereotypical :^D

I've got a new strategy this year. Hand out the fun-size Skittles and Starburst to the little kids who come around 6-7p.m., then switch to the full size bars for the bigger kids. I'm just about out of the fun-size stuff (saved a little for myself), so now I'm starting to hand out the full sizes. Gave them to two kids and when I pulled out the bowl they were like, "whoa!" I guess everyone in my neighborhood is cheap...

Halloween's more for little kids. I don't even like kids, but I liked being one. Everything went to shit after I turned 10 or so. That's why I give big candy. Make everything a little more amazing before they figure out the world sucks.

I still vividly remember the few houses that gave out full sized candy bars. One house gave out Marathon Bars every year and there was a drug store at the end of the block that let kids pick a bar off the candy rack. Good times.

What we do now is buy the same snack sized and fun sized bars as everyone else, but we have a wide selection and let the kids take out 2 or 3 pieces of whatever they want. They seem to enjoy that, they get to pick their favorites and can grab a Snickers, a package of licorice and a Reese's PB Cup all in one stop.

No trick or treaters for the past ~20 min. I might be stuck with 34 full size chocolate bars...

I could go through 34 candy cars in 5 minutes here. A couple of blocks along my street are pretty active with lot of lights on, so kids can hit a bunch of houses quickly. It's become a prime location for minivans to drop off 8 kids, lets them swoop through and then drive off to a new neighborhood. Probably 200+ kids so far. Had three big bowls of candy that have been emptied and refilled a couple times.

My halloween decorations this year consisted of a bunch of "TRUMP 2020 MAGAA" signs. No ones showed up to the rally though. :( Too bad, I was giving out "just kidding" hats.

Wish I was home so I could turn the sprinklers on them. It's a little warm for it, but it still would have been fun. Oh well.

Are you running your chainsaw?
That's what my boss asked! Kind of dangerous, even if I took the teeth off a chain.

51 candy bars went quick. I'm now into the granola bars. With luck, no one else will come. Seems like I have buy more every year. I try to nail it perfectly. I don't need a bunch of chocolate sitting around the house.

It's getting quiet. I may have hit the perfect number(Shh... the Toblerone bar was a couple years old). I'll hang out a bit longer before I close up for the night. The granola bars aren't the shitty bland ones. I picked some I was interested in for lunch. I figured they'd make a decent emergency backup, and if I don't give them away, I can use them.

I was thinking of making a Trump 2020 pumpkin, because, well, that is scary. But was not sure how people would perceive that and they might just smash it lol. I could have made a "carbon tax" one too. Don't get enough people in my area to make it worthwhile though. :/ My house setup would actually be ideal for a mini haunted house since I have a large porch type area at the front so could put some tarp to cover it in and stuff and make it all scary inside. I suppose me answering the door is scary enough with my ginger beard and crazy hair. :p Should have gotten a viking hat or something.

Only got 1 group of older kids so far.

Our neighborhood dried up a 8 o clock.
And it was warm all night. So things were good.

Except we planned for 200 kids and we got considerably less than 100. Now I'm gonna get fat.

Probably call it a night here too. had that 1 group come by and that's it. I think because my street is just a side street they tend to do the longer perpendicular streets instead.

Nobody showed up after 7:15. I'll keep a few candy bars and bring the rest in for my co-workers. :(

If I give away candy it's candy I really love, not the crap I used to get as a kid (90% of it).

I tried it once and had no knockers. One time IIRC I may have given out one thing. My house looks scary! :D Most years I just shut off the front light and watch a movie. I think I may watch Shawn of the Dead tonight or Alien. Been a long time.

I was doing well from 7 to 8pm. However at 8pm it suddenly ground to a halt. Now I haven't had a soul in an hour and a half. I still have at least two-dozen full-size candy bars left.

Damn kids. When I was their age, we did this from 7 to 10pm in order to get the most candy possible.:p

Ran out of candy at 7pm but lucky the steady stream of kids ended just like that.

I live in the sticks, so turn the light off and hide. Anyone coming to my door doesn't mean well lol.

His Mother gave me a look and let him in. No respect.
