just for you, I'm going to give the game another chance! I think I've got it for my DS somewhere (or I've got the rom for my ds emulator player thing)

You, sir, have reminded me that I haven't listened to the FF3 SPCs I have in a long time. I think I have to re-download SNESamp.
There are better versions now, aren't there?

Are there? I have no idea.
Yeah. You can get live performances for many of the songs.

FFVI(3, whatever ;) )
SuperMetroid
Super Punch Out!
Chrono Trigger
Street Figher II

So many others I'd love to put on here. One general question- I loved UN Squadron in the arcade, one of my all time favorites- never got it for the home systems as ports back then were always sketchy, I assume my reservations were unfounded?

Uh...Super Mario Bros. 3 was a NES game...

Well it was also ported to the SNES so it's still valid to list it though it be more appropiate to list it as "Super Mario All-Stars"

That would really depend on WHEN you bought a SNES. Originally, it came packed with Super Mario World (I got mine the Christmas after it was released so...3 months later?), but I think later on, it came packed with the Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World cart.

I forgot a game that I thought was pretty cool: Shadowrun. I'm not even sure if I liked it in retrospect...it was just a really different game.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (best Zelda game)
Illusion of Gaia
Super Mario World
Final Fantasy V

Hah, I loved Illusion of Gaia...I remember the only time I got stuck was when I was looking for a hole somewhere in a cave. You had to look for your hair to move or something iirc. lol

I was stuck on the first boss for 2-3 weeks. I repeatedly buffed my character and attacked his head over and over again to no avail. Finally I accidentally struck the disembodied floating hand in frustration, only to find that it had been the 'weak point' all along. I was so far buffed from killing bats or whatever that the entire rest of the game was a breeze.
