Your tongue is too big for your mouth.

Apparently if you tell someone this, they will start to think about it. Then after awhile they start feeling their tongue in their mouth and move it around and start thinking it's too big. It usually takes a day or two to forget about it and not constantly feel it pressing against your teeth and gums.

That's what I heard.
 
reminds me of the peanuts strip where linus tells lucy that he's "tongue aware." and then she hits him or something because she is now "tongue aware" also.
 
No, when you go to the dentist to get your wisdom teeth removed and they pump you full of local, THEN your tongue is too big for your mouth. It gets hilariously swollen, or at least it feels that way.
 
I think my tongue actually is too big for my mouth (and no, not just because of this thread). I've long since lost track of the number of times that I've bitten my tongue with my molars.

Of course, maybe that's just really common and nobody told me...?

I think the tongue grow to fill out the space in your mouth. Need to grow one in a lab to see how big they can get.
