i like how the 360 basically just took Xbox Media Center (XBMC) and incorporated it into the new system.
i guess they payed attention to all the mods.
if ps3 and 360 are both moddable, which one to get?

Xbox360 to work with Window Media Center Edition 2005.

it looks to much like one of those Sony Sport boomboxes, all white and curvy and huge

The Xbox360 is smaller than the PS3 FYI. The more I look at the PS3 and its controller the more I like the Xbox360. I'm waiting to see the controller before I make a final judgement on the Revolution but it looks sleek and simple. I'd almost mistake it for one of my old modems if I didn't already know what I was looking at.

Who cares what it looks like as long as the games are awesome. Games make the system, raw processing power does not. I doubt I will buy any of the systems at launch, right now the hype machines are churning out so much crap that you can't tell fact from fiction.

Yeah, that PS3 controller... how can it not be a joke? WTF is with the super-long handles? I feel like taping one to my head and goring someone. I don't get why Sony would even change the controller.

im not saying the design will make one system better than the other.

from a purely aesthetic point, revolution is better, imo.

But doesn't that just cover the actual force feedback, not the controller design itself?

The new PS3 design puts me in mind of what you'd get if you had the Atari console designers create what they felt the console of the 21st century would look like.

I don't see much design with the Nintendo. It looks like a box with a slot in it.

It actually resembles a number of external CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives on the market. Nothing interesting there.

simple is elegant and timeless.

To me, the Revolution looks like a Video Cassette. Especially the picture including the hand found here.

The PS3 reminds me too much of a refrigerator, especially standing up.

I like the design. Simple and sleek. And it will be even smaller in final product.

As for home media, I would prefer to keep that separate from my game console.

Also, the revolution would be much easier to add to a mobile video system than the X360 and PS3.

I actually don't like the design.

The slot load CD will damage CD more than the tray and it looks like the images have been rendered.

It's simple, but I guess it works. It looks the same as my cable modem & I never thought of my cable modem as being a cool design...
